Frequently Asked Questions
A snail mail club is a subscription where an artist or creator sends you physical mail, often every month. Each delivery reflects the sender’s style and interests, with contents that may include letters, art prints, stickers, or other small surprises.
Some clubs focus on a single art print or letter, while others send a mix of postcards, stickers, and paper goods. You’ll also find clubs centered on poetry, recipes, crafts, or stories. Browse past deliveries to get a feel for a club, and check the creator’s description of what your chosen plan includes.
Anyone who likes discovering artists, collecting little pieces of art, or sitting down with a letter from someone whose work they enjoy. You might tuck the contents into a journal, put a print above your desk, or keep a growing box of favorites. You don’t need a particular use in mind to enjoy receiving them.
Pen pals usually write back and forth to each other. With an artist-run snail mail club, you subscribe to receive mail from the creator, and you generally aren’t expected to write back. Some clubs welcome replies or offer ways for members to participate.
Many do, but shipping destinations and costs vary by club. Check the creator’s current shipping information before subscribing, including any restrictions for your country and whether shipping is included in the price. International mail may take longer to arrive, and tracking isn’t always included.
Some creators offer a one-time purchase, a sample envelope, or past editions in their shop. These can be a way to try their mail before choosing a recurring plan. Check the purchase details carefully, since a monthly subscription may renew automatically.
Find a club that catches your eye, then select Look inside to explore its details. Follow Visit club to the creator’s website, shop, or membership page. Before joining, check what’s included, the total with shipping, and which edition you’ll receive first. It’s also worth checking when the plan renews and how to cancel.
